Current Status of the Procurement and Distribution Process of Q1 emergency Pharmaceuticals and Drugs to Health Facilities in 10 States in South Sudan
Distribution of Q1 emergency Pharmaceuticals and Drugs to Health Facilities in 10 States (Central Equatoria, Eastern Equatoria, Western Equatoria, Jonglei, Lakes, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, Unity, Upper Nile, Warrap, and Western Bahr El Ghazal) is now complete.
Due to the insecurities in South Sudan, there has been a delay in shipping Q2 pharmaceuticals and drugs shipments as the shipping lines are hesitant in shipping goods destined to South Sudan. Therefore, all Q2 shipments are destined to Kampala with onward transport once the borders to South Sudan open up and transport route to Juba is safe to travel. Q2 Pharmaceuticals and Medical Consumables coming into the country have be diverted to an alternate warehouse located in Kampala until the situation in SS is normalized. Further update information will be made available in the coming days.
